  • UFC 110: Cain Velasquez (7-0) vs Minotauro Nogueira (32-5-1, 1 NC)
    Cain comes out, lands a leg quick then catches Nogueira with a left.  Another leg quick lands, then Nogueira takes a quick combo to the chin.  Velasquez mixing things up, lands a kick then a good knee.  Cain uses a front kick to keep some distance, Nogueira lunges in with a weak jab but Cain puts a quick left hook to Nogueiras chin, followed by a solid right hook then another left hook to the side of the head - Nogueira drops to the mat - Cain rushes in passing the guard, landing 5 more solid punches until Herb Dean rushes in to stop it.  Cain Velasquez wins by Knockout with 2:40 let in the first round.


  • UFC 110: Wanderlei Silva (32-10-1, 1 NC) vs Michael Bisping (19-2)
    Round 1, fighters feeling each other out - Bisping goes for a take down.  The stand up then Silva gets taken down again.  The stand, Bisping throws a knee that doesn't land, they break.  Silva looks very calm.  Bisping gets another quick take down, they pop back up then a body kick lands for Bisping.  Silva gets hit with a straight right, then lands a right of his own.  Silva lands two leg kicks, then rushes in with a flurry of punches, but get his with a big right hand by Bisping.  Bisping doing a good job of evading Silva, but as the round ends Silva catches Bisping with a  couple shots - gives chase as the round ends.

    Second round, Silva lands a leg kick.  Bisping looks confident.  Silva lands another good inside leg kick.  Bisping throws a kick, Silva catches it and sweeps his leg and takes him to the ground.  Bisping goes for an arm bar, Silva pulls out.  Bisping gets out and takes a body kick as he gets up from the ground.  Bisping lands a good body kick but Silva answers with two overhand rights.  Silva gets taken down, then pops back up.  Fighters circle the cage, Silva takes a quick jab then misses with an overhand right.  Silva lands three inside leg kicks then rushes in, but lands nothing.  Bisping rushes in, gets the take down but Silva locks in a tight arm in guillotine, round ends.

    Last round, the two come out Bisping lands a nice left hook.  Silva lands a right, takes a right, then gets kicked between the legs.  Fight resumes, good body kick by Bisping, Silva trying to change angles.  Crowd chanting "Silva, Silva".  The two exchange quick combos, Bisping pokes Silva in the eye.  Under two minutes left.  Silva trying to end this fight, throwing huge rights but not landing.  Silva catches a body kick and kicks Bispings leg out from under him - Bisping pops back up.  Silva rushing in throwing hooks, pushing Bisping up against the cage - lands a good overhand right dropping Bisping to the ground, throws a couple more shots none landing, bell rings ending the round.  All three judges score the fight 29 to 28 for the winner, Wanderlei "the Axe Murderer" Silva.


  • UFC 110: Joe Stevenson (36-10) vs George Sotiropoulos (11-2)
    First round, Sotiropoulos comes out ready to throw - gets a single leg but Stevenson shows good take down defense.  Stevenson drops down, pulls Sotiropoulos into guard, Sotiropoulos trying to pass Stevensons guard.  Joe Daddy doing a good job holding tight, Joe looking to go under for a sweep.  Sotiropoulos throwing hammer fists but Joe Daddy lands a nice up kick.  Sotiropoulos falls on Joe Daddy, gets full mount, tries to secure a kimura then an arm bar, back to full mount - the round ends.  Stevenson with a huge goose egg between his eyebrows.  Sotiropoulos dominated that round.

    Second round, Stevenson lands a quick left hook and a quick leg kick.  Joe Daddy comes in, Sotiropoulos lands a left hook that drops Joe Daddy to one knee - he quickly recovers.  Stevenson moving well, bouncing around the ring throws a left hook but misses.  Joe Daddy shoots for a double leg take down, picks Sotiropoulos up and slams him on the ground.  Sotiropoulos locks up Joe Daddys arm and goes for an omeplata, sweeps him, they stand then Joe Daddy is on top again.  Sotiropoulos tries to secure an arm bar but Stevenson pulls out.  Stevenson drops back for a leg lock, but Sotiropoulos gets out and sinks in an anaconda choke as round two ends.  Close round.

    Third and final round, the two come out Sotiropoulos engages first.  Joe Daddy throws a weak leg quick, George catches it and takes him down.  They pop back up, Stevenson pins Sotiropoulos against the cage, they break.  Stevenson goes of the take down, doesn't get it.  Stevenson gets the takedown, in half guard trying to improve his position.  Time is running out.  Joe Daddy gets caught with a couple up kicks.  They stand, Joe Daddy shoots and takes Sotiropoulos down again.  Sotiropoulos showing great control from the bottom - round ends - all 3 judges score 30 to 27 for the winner George Sotiropoulos.


  • UFC 110: Chris Lytle vs Brian Foster
    First round, Lytle misses a big haymaker, Foster picks up Lytle and slams him.  Foster throws a spinning heal quick to the head, Lytle lands a right hook.  Foster throws an other spinning heal hook that misses.  Lytle connects with a nice left hook then misses a jumping hook.  Foster gets Lytle's back, then Lytle rolls for a knee bar, locks it up and submits Brian Foster.  Foster still on the ground, appears to have a blown out knee.  Chris Lytle winner 1st round by knee bar.


  • UFC 110: Keith Jardine vs Ryan Bader
    Ryan Bader has an MMA record of 11 and 0, and has 3 wins and no losses in the UFC coming in to face off against Keith Jardine one of the best 205 pounder in the world.  Jardine has a record of 14-7-1 with wins against Forrest Griffin, Brandon Vera and Chuck Liddell.

    First round, Jardine runs up with a quick right that doesn't land.  Bader locks Jardine up against the fence, quick knee then they break.  Bader body slams Jardine, throws an elbow, looks like Jardine has some blood on the top o his head.  Bader staying on top, keeping his weight on him, working for position.  Bader throwing elbows to the mid section, Jardine gets back into butterfly guard.  Jardine gets double under hooks, ties Bader up - Josh Rosenthal stands them up.  Jardine's hands are at his waste, takes a jab as the round ends.

    Round 2, Bader shoots but stumbles and pins Jardine up against the cage - Jardine scores a knee to the body.  Another take down attempt by Bader, same result - Jardine showing great take down defense.  Bader throwing knees to the leg, then to the body…they break.  Jardine waving to Bader to come on.  Big over the top right hand by Bader misses.  Late take down by Bader with 10 seconds left yields nothing.

    Third round, Bader attempts a take down Jardine gets away.  Couple quick exchanges, Bader catches a body kick and takes Jardine down - but both jump back up.  A straight right stuns Jardine, Bader runs up with a flying knee to the body throws a right then a left hook to his jaw - Jardine drops, Rosenthal jumps in to prevent further injury.  Ryan Bader wins 2:10 left in Round 3 by Knock Out.


  • UFC 110: Anthony Perosh agains Mirko Cro Cop
    Perosh, with a record of 10 wins and 5 losses comes in trying to make a name for himself, knowing a win vs Cro Cop (26-7-2) could open all sorts of doors for him.  Round one, Perosh shoots on Cro Cop but cant score a takedown, Cro Cop stalking Perosh throwing hard lefts, none landing cleanly.  Perosh  retreating, bleeding from his nose.  Another take down unsuccessful - Cro Cop lets him get back up.  Couple straight lefts from Mirko land, round ends. 

    Round 2, Perosh shoots Cro Cop sprawls, gets out of it and lets Perosh up.  Good body kick from Crop Cop to the ribs, couple punches and another take down unsuccessful by Perosh.  Cro Cop gets side control, sneaking in some punches, softening him up then decides to let him up.  Mirko gets pulled into the guard and throws a strong left elbow, blood gushes from his face, forehead is split opening pretty bad.  No referee stoppage, Perosh says he wants to keep fighting to everyones surprise.  Blood is coming out pretty bad.  After a little rolling around, round 2 ends.  In between rounds, doctors stop the fight….Cro Cop comes over to make sure Perosh is ok.  Mirkro Cro Cop winner by TKO.


  • UFC 110: Cain Velasquez out to prove he deserves a title shot
    The main event at UFC 110 puts Cain Velasquez up again Antonio Nogueira, in a fight to determine who will be next in line to fight the current UFC Heavyweight Champion Brock Lesnar. Cain, comes into the fight with a record of 7-0 with 6 of his wins coming from TKO. His only decision was against Cheick Kongo. Cains last fight was against Ben Rothwell at UFC 104 - here Cain completely dominated Rothwell, taking him down at will then unloading a barrage of punches forcing the ref to stop the fight...showing the world he was ready to start taking on some of the top dogs. Nogueira is a veteran in the UFC. He's a former Pride and UFC Heavyweight Champion, has excellent ground game, and is definitely a force to be reckoned with. After a loss to Frank Mir, he came back to win a decision against Randy Couture at UFC 102.
